Maxwell Kahandawela has completed 40 years of Service as a Shepherd [Pastor], Counselor, Motivator and Teacher in Sri Lanka, as well as abroad. He is also a pioneer in ‘Christian Rehabilitation Work’ in Sri Lanka, for people struggling with various kinds of wrong habits called addictions, In 1991 he had the opportunity of Fellowshipping with the “London Messianic Congregation”. That is, with Jewish People who have recognized that “YAHSHUA [Jesus] IS THE MESSIAH PROMISED IN THEIR SCRIPTURES”. At that time he also started learning the Hebrew Language from a Jewish Teacher.

Once back in Sri Lanka he continued his Ministry and also served as the Chaplain of Christian Sports People [SIA], Christian Musicians’ Ministry [SOUL] and Intercessors for Peace in the Land [P4P]. In September 2000 he moved away from Shepherding ‘Local Assemblies’ and made himself available to anyone, who desired his type of Ministry. Until the Covid 19 situation arose, he used to accompany groups visiting Israel and teach them the significance of various geographical sites, in the light of the Scriptures, in the Holy Land.
